Take “Extreme Energy Savings” Program on the Road
Famous TV home decorating duo shares ways to reduce energy consumption and live green
CANTON, Ohio (October 5, 2009) – HGTV’s Matt Fox and Shari Hiller are taking their new Extreme Energy Savings program on the road to home shows across the country to educate homeowners on how to save energy and money. The tour will begin at the Providence Fall Home Show at the Convention Center in Providence on Saturday, November 7, 2009 and will run through the spring.
The Extreme Energy Savings stage presentation teaches homeowners about the biggest culprits of energy loss in their homes and discusses products that significantly reduce energy consumption, save them money on their utility bills and improve the look and value of their home. Program sponsors include ProVia Door’s Professional Class of Entry Doors and Storm Doors, Insulated Siding with Fullback Technology™ and Haas Door’s American Tradition Series™ residential garage doors.
Matt and Shari will be supporting the Extreme Energy Savings program with local TV appearances, radio interviews and newspaper articles. They will also be on hand after each performance to sign autographs and meet their fans.
“The Extreme Energy Savings program is a true 21st century educational message that will teach homeowners about the impactful ways to make their homes more energy efficient as
well as beautiful. We all know about the little things we can do around the home, like switching to CFL light bulbs and applying weather stripping, but there are other extreme improvements that homeowners can make to the exterior of their homes that will radically reduce energy consumption,” said Matt.
“In today’s world, homeowners are demanding environmentally responsible products, but they still want their homes to be beautiful and a reflection of their personal style,” said Shari. “The nice thing about the Extreme Energy Savings program is it covers all the bases. Our ideas and product selections will help homeowners save money, improve the environment and create dramatic curb appeal that will increase the value of their homes.”
Matt and Shari are best known for creating the first show to air on HGTV, Room by Room. The program holds the record for the longest running decorating show with more than 350 episodes aired over 14 years. Through Room by Room and a nationally syndicated newspaper column, they introduced more than 90 million homes to their simple process of step-by-step decorating.
